Part Time Head Coach of Competitive Dance Team
LOCATION: 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Baptist University (WBU) – Plainview Campus
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
SUPERVISED BY: Director of Athletics
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Volunteer & Student Coaches
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Coach of Competitive Dance is responsible for all functions normally associated with an intercollegiate athletics program in dance and will be bound by the university and the athletic department's mission statements.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
- Coaching and management of all practice sessions.
- Recruiting quality student athletes.
- Monitor teams’ academic performance.
- Scheduling competitions and related events.
- Budget management and organization.
- Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Event preparations.
- Campus and community relations.
- Marketing and development of the program.
- Supervision of volunteer and student coaches.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master’s Degree applicants will be given top priority.
Experience and Knowledge:
College-level dance participation and head-coaching experience are preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- A commitment to a Christian lifestyle and coaching from a Christian perspective is essential.
- Individuals who apply should have proven integrity, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate students to be successful academically and athletically.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. If hired, the prospective employee must present documentation within three (3) days of the hire date to establish their identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Employees must be able and willing to travel and work on weekends and evenings. Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.
