51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ’s housing policy states that unmarried students enrolled in 7 or more credit hours must live in a residence hall and participate in a university meal plan unless they meet one of the approved exemption criteria:

• 23 years of age or older
• Senior standing (90+ completed credit hours)
• Living with relatives in Floyd, Hale, Lamb, Lubbock, or Swisher County

Before Moving In

The following items must be completed before receiving a residence hall assignment:

• Complete Your Housing Application Online here.
• Submit the $100 housing deposit to secure a residence hall space
• Provide proof of a meningitis vaccination, as required by Texas law

Students who have not met the meningitis vaccine requirements cannot receive a housing assignment. Vaccinations may be available through Health Services for a fee.

• Students requesting to live off campus must complete an Off-Campus Housing Request.

  Students enrolled in 7 or more credit hours who do not meet the university's exemption criteria are generally required to live in university housing and to participate in a meal plan.

  Because availability is limited, an active waiting list is maintained. A separate housing deposit is required as part of the application process.
