PLAINVIEW —High school juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to experience campus life firsthand when 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Baptist University hosts its Fall 2025 Pioneer Preview on Friday, October. 24, at the Plainview campus.
This popular one-day event gives future Pioneers an inside look at academics, athletics, student life, and the Christ-centered community that defines 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ.
“Pioneer Preview is the best way to discover what makes 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ special,” said Holli Watson, Director of Undergraduate Admissions. “Students get to connect with faculty, staff, and current students while exploring all that our university has to offer.”
The day begins with check-in at 9:30 a.m. in the Pete and Nelda Laney Student Activities Center, followed by a welcome message at 10 a.m. and a 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Scavenger Hunt that introduces students to key landmarks across campus. Parents will enjoy a Parent and President Mixer and Tour featuring remarks from university leaders.
A lunch session at noon allows students to choose from several breakout topics, including faith in college, mental health, first-generation college experiences, and student-athlete life.
The afternoon continues with the Pioneer Showcase at 12:50 p.m., where academic schools and athletic programs will be on display. Students can visit with professors, coaches, and staff to learn more about academic pathways and campus involvement. Dorm tours follow from 1:35 to 2 p.m., giving participants a glimpse of residence life. The day concludes with a final session at 2 p.m. in Harral Auditorium, where scavenger hunt winners will be announced and special presentations will close out the event.
“We’re thrilled to welcome future Pioneers to campus,” said Tre Hinds, Senior Enrollment Coach and event coordinator. “It’s a day packed with fun, fellowship, and firsthand experiences that help students envision themselves at 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ.”
