PLAINVIEW, TX — 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Baptist University’s School of Creative Arts presents a series of three concert events during the next two weeks.
“Come enjoy these wonderfully unique expressions of divine beauty in music,” says Dr. Richard Fountain, Dean of the School of Creative Arts and Professor of Piano.
The series begins at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, in the Miller Recital Hall (Harral Music Center, Room 124), featuring Daniel Adam Maltz, internationally known fortepianist. Maltz will perform on his own replica of an early piano dating to around 1800—an instrument very similar to those played by Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.
The second event takes place at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, in Harral Auditorium, as Dr. Fountain presents another installment in his ongoing Beethoven sonata series.
The series concludes at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9, in Harral Auditorium with a percussion recital by Dr. Anthony King. The performance will showcase the remarkable and often surprising sound world of mallet percussion instruments.
All three events are open to the public. The School of Creative Arts invites members of the community, as well as 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ students, faculty, and staff to attend and enjoy these distinctive musical offerings.
