The Abraham Art Gallery at 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Baptist University is currently hosting an exhibit titled SteamrolledX. This exhibit offers a unique art experience and is free to the public. For those who may not know, the Abraham Art Gallery is located downstairs in the library. The gallery hosts many events throughout the year and is one of 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ’s hidden gems.
SteamrolledX is an event in which artists from across Texas create carved printing blocks that are inked and pressed using a steamroller to produce large-scale prints. The exhibit will remain on display until March 13.
Visitors can also purchase merchandise from the event to help support the work of the artists and the organization behind the exhibit. Many of the artworks on display are also available for purchase for those interested in supporting the artists directly.
Visiting an art gallery can be about more than simply appreciating art. It can also be a great way to spend time with friends and loved ones. Many people visit galleries to step away from the noise and busyness of daily life and take a moment to appreciate something creative and meaningful.
51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ’s Abraham Art Gallery offers the perfect spot on campus to sit, relax, and appreciate the hard work of talented artists. Students looking for a quiet, creative escape may find the gallery a refreshing change of pace. Those interested can visit the Abraham Art Gallery to see the SteamrolledX exhibit and explore the many events hosted there throughout the year.
