Why Did He Choose 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ?

While his hobbies offer insight into his personality, Dr. Mora’s journey to 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ reflects both his faith and his commitment to students. He has been a Christian for most of his life and says his faith played a role in his decision to come to 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ.

Dr. Mora originally moved to West Texas to help take care of his mother. When he learned that 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ was hiring, he applied right away. He believes that the Lord played a role in both helping him get the job and keeping him here over the years.

He also chose 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ because of the students. Dr. Mora says he loves the student body and enjoys being there to support them. His advice to students is simple but meaningful:

“Go to college with an open mind. Your life does not need to be planned out. Commit yourself to setting goals and work toward accomplishing them.”
