Every Gift Creates Impact
Every gift made to 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ blesses the lives of our students. The following stories show the impact that giving has to help our learners complete their education and reach their goals. Thank you for having a part in that!

John Bray, WBU Senior
"This is a part of my personal testimony—one that reflects God’s guidance and the profound impact 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ has had on my life and education.
I originally planned to attend 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ right after high school, but due to scholarship limitations and some interpersonal circumstances, I chose to start my journey at a junior college instead. During that time, I gained valuable friendships and achieved meaningful success in my wrestling career. Yet when that season of my life came to a close, I felt God calling me back to this campus. It was a call I couldn’t ignore.
I had always maintained a relationship with Christ, but since arriving at 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ, my spiritual growth has increased in ways I never expected. I have been surrounded by strong spiritual leaders, a supportive community, and friendships that I know will last a lifetime. 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ has not only strengthened my faith—it has helped me understand my purpose with clarity and conviction.
My financial journey here is also a testimony of God’s provision. When I first enrolled, the majority of my scholarship support came from athletics. But as the year went on, I found myself struggling spiritually. After a great deal of prayer and reflection, I felt God asking me to step away from the sport that had defined so much of my life. Letting go was terrifying. I didn’t know how I would remain at 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ without that scholarship, but I trusted that God would make a way.
In faith, I reached out for help. I contacted Dr. Donna Hedgepath, and she guided me with compassion and understanding. She connected me with the right people, and through various scholarships and resources, I was able to continue my education affordably — and in alignment with God’s calling.
Now, I am able to be more fully involved on campus and devote myself to the mission I believe God brought me here to fulfill: to be an advocate for His love and to reflect that love to others.
51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ has shaped me spiritually, personally, and academically. And I truly believe God placed me here for a purpose greater than myself."
