51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ, Destiny Sports team up for summer youth sports camp

PLAINVIEW, TX — 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Baptist University is partnering with Destiny Sports to host the Destiny Sports Camp June 29-July 1on the university’s Plainview campus, providing children entering kindergarten through fifth grade an opportunity to grow athletically and spiritually through three mornings of sports instruction and faith-based activities.

The camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day, with drop-off and pick-up taking place at Laney Student Activities Center. Participants will receive instruction in a variety of sports, including baseball/softball, basketball, cheer, football, soccer, and volleyball.

“We are excited to partner with Destiny Sports to offer an incredible sports camp for children in our community,” said Donnie Brown, executive director of spiritual life at 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ. “This camp is more than just sports. Kids will receive excellent instruction and training in their favorite sport while also learning about God’s amazing love and how much He cares for them.”

Brown said the partnership reflects 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ’s commitment to serving families and creating opportunities for young people to develop physically, socially and spiritually.

“We believe this will be an exciting and impactful week for every child who attends,” Brown said. “It is a wonderful opportunity for children to grow both athletically and spiritually in a fun, encouraging environment.”

Destiny Sports Camps combine quality sports instruction with Bible-based teaching and character development. Campers will participate in skill-building activities, team competitions, and faith-centered lessons designed to encourage personal growth and Christian values.
