12Twenty to strengthen career services across the university

PLAINVIEW, TX — 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ Baptist University has selected 12Twenty as the new career management system for the Pioneer Career Center, providing students and alumni with expanded resources for career exploration, internships, employment and professional development.

51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ plans to begin implementation and onboarding in early August. The university expects the platform to become available to students during the opening days of the fall semester.

“12Twenty gives us the opportunity to provide students with an intuitive, mobile-friendly platform that supports every stage of their professional journey,” said Jeffrey Vera, director of Alumni Relations and Career Services. “Students will have stronger tools for exploring careers, connecting with employers, pursuing internships and preparing for meaningful employment after graduation.”

The new career management system was selected after Vera conducted a review of multiple platforms. 12Twenty supports searches, career advising appointments, employer profiles and events, experiential learning opportunities, and connections between students and alumni.

The platform also gives the Pioneer Career Center enhanced tools for communicating with students, developing employer relationships and tracking career outcomes. Improved data collection and reporting capabilities can support university planning, accreditation requirements, and other institutional reporting efforts.

“Career readiness continues to play an increasingly important role in student success,” Vera said. “This investment helps us strengthen the connection between the education students receive at 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ and the opportunities available to them as they enter or advance in the workforce.”

Vera leads the implementation of the new system in coordination with 12Twenty. In addition to on-campus and online students, 51Æ·²èÔ¼ÅÚ alumni will be able to utilize the services as well. Additional information about accessing and using the platform will be provided as the fall launch approaches.
